I'm old!

1 min read

I've received senior status on dA! I honestly didn't see that coming, but I'm quite flattered. I've been active in the Deviants' Forum for some years, but I've always considered myself "Mr. Anonymous", keeping a decent tone and avoiding the edge, so to speak. I have no clue who appointed me. To those who did so in a fit of "je ne sais quoi"; thank you - I'm grateful! :-) My aim in the forums is to encourage discussion in a lighthearted way. I've seen tendencies lately that I'm not a big fan of, and when that happens, I step down for a while or try to give my best for the benefit of those interested. Under all circumstances, dA is worth the time - I'm sure all who have read this far will agree. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nN9DaTXV0b0

... you just want to go for a long drive into the night, only to realize that the sun rose behind you when you chased the darkness. Weird, but worthwhile...

Not really. It's a non-topic. Climate change, COVID-19, diplomatic crises worldwide, and military build-ups in the Arctic circle are matters of great importance. Also, dA is a private company - they don't have to ask for permission if they want to make changes. dA is not a democracy, it never was, and it won't become one - deal with it!

The Deviants Forum I used to roam is unfortunately dominated by that subject and a few people with very bad forum vibes. I understand that people during these trying times have a lot of time to complain, and maybe some bottled-up frustrations, but seriously: No matter how much time I have on my hands, I don't have time for that. Hence my lack of participation these days, should anyone wonder.

So... My only comment about said forum atm.:

Self Control by deVere

I do hope it will change for the better eventually - it was time well spent, once.

And now to something completely different and very soothing:

Take care, out there - or (more precisely) in there!

In a momentary fit of je ne sais quoi and nostalgia, I sat down and listened to 'Buki Yamaz', recalling those days in the 1970s, where people listened to such music regularly, had Campari Sodas by the pool for breakfast and were divided into two groups: Communists and those genuinely afraid of communists (most had at least one pool, though, and if not, they'd swim naked in a lake). That was another time! :crying:

... you may dance! :boogie:

BUT!!! First I have a question: How would you - in the shortest way possible - describe 'ultrasubjective space'*? My best take atm. is 'breaking down barriers by challenging the concept of interface' but it doesn't cover the entire concept. Input is greatly appreciated!

Stay vigilantly mellow!

*Not to be confused with Ultra Subjective Space, which is a concrete project by teamLab, who later coined the term.
