Had overnight visitors during the weekend, and went to a metal festival, which was quite nostagic! When we did that 25 years ago, it would've included 25 pints + vodka (and maybe a mustard-soaked brat, disappearing in our very long hair, only to reappear the next morning in somebody else's pants) - that was another time. This time we were met by a crowd, respectfully stepping aside for a bald guy (six ft. 5) with the eyes of a calm pitbull, an 80% tattooed woman dressed in Fendi, and a relatively normal looking dude with greying beard. Age changes attitude and (for most) economy, but not integrity. I don't know if they just showed respect for the elders (!), or somehow could see, that we were once in the midst of that crowd of devious misfits. It doesn't matter. I'm sure I saw a 20-year-old me standing in the doorway, sending me a blow kiss.
Have a great week when you get there, everyone - and don't be afraid of getting older; there are perks!
